			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The St. Louis Rams have released 33-year old kicker Josh Brown.  Brown played in all 16 games for the Rams last year and he connected on 21 of 28 (75%) field goals.  He also made all 18 of his extra points as he scored 81 points for the Rams last season.  Brown played in 64 games in his four years with the Rams and he made 104 of 127 (81.8%) field goals.  He also made 79 of 80 extra points as he scored 391 points in his four years with the Rams.  Brown became expendable when the Rams took Greg Zeuerlein out of Missouri Western in the 6th round of the NFL Draft last weekend.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The St. Louis Rams selected RB Daryl Richardson out of Abilene Christian with the 252nd overall pick (7th round) of the 2012 NFL Draft.  Richardson has two brothers in the NFL (RB Bernard Scott of the Bengals and WR Clyde Gates of the Dolphins).  Richardson is 5&#8217;10&#8243;, 192 pounds and he runs a 4.49 40.  Richardson played in 11 games (8 starts) at Abilene Christian last year and he carried the ball 139 times for 825 yards (5.9 ypc) with 11 TD runs.  He also caught 40 passes for 371 yards (9.3 avg) with 2 TD grabs last year.  Richardson played in 34 games (23 starts) in his three years at Abilene Christian and he carried the ball 453 times for 2,303 yards (5.1 ypc) with 34 TD runs.  He also caught 88 passes for 779 yards (8.9 avg) with 4 TD grabs at Abilene Christian.  This was a solid pick for the Rams as Richardson has some talent and good bloodlines.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The St. Louis Rams have selected OLB Aaron Brown out of Hawaii with the 209th overall pick (7th round) of the 2012 NFL Draft.  Brown is 6&#8217;0&#8243;, 237 pounds.  He always seemed to be around the football at Hawaii.  He had 103 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 4.5 sacks, 3 interceptions, 6 passes defensed, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.  Brown played three years at Hawaii and he had 196 tackles, 23.5 tackles for a loss, 10.5 sacks, 6 interceptions, 15 passes defensed, 1 fumble recovery and 3 forced fumbles.  At this point in the draft, this was probably a good pick as Brown should be able to at least help them on special teams in 2012&#8230;.and do maybe more down the road.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The St. Louis Rams selected kicker  Greg Zeuerlein out of Missouri Western with the 171st overall pick (6th round) of the 2012 NFL Draft.  Zeuerlein made 21 consecutive field goals last year, including 9 of them that were at least 50 yards long.  He connected on amazing 22 of 23 field goals last year for Missouri Western.  In his four years at Missouri Western, Zeuerlein connected on 58 of 72 (80.6%) on field goals.  Zeuerlein will be a starter from Day #1 for the Rams as they have released Josh Brown.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The St. Louis Rams selected OG Rokevious Watkins out of South Carolina with the 150th overall pick (5th round) of the 2012 NFL Draft.  Watkins is a big guy at 6&#8217;4&#8243;, 320 pounds and he plays a power game.  He is a masher in the run game and he&#8217;s solid in pass protection as long as he has help.  Watkins played in 13 games (all starts) for South Carolina last year.  He played in 45 games (all starts) in his four years in college and South Carolina (2 years) and Georgia Military College.  I really like this pick for the Rams as Watkins will compete for the starting job at left guard in training camp.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The St. Louis Rams selected WR Chris Givens out of Wake Forest with the 96th overall pick (4th round) of the 2012 NFL Draft.  Givens is 6&#8217;0&#8243;, 195 pounds and he runs a 4.45 40.  Despite his speed, Givens isn&#8217;t a blazer.  He has a great set of hands and a solid body, so he doesn&#8217;t mind working over the middle of the field.  He is always really good at keeping his feet in bounds near the sideline.  Givens isn&#8217;t much of a help in the running game.  He played in 13 games (12 starts) at Wake Forest last year and he caught 83 passes for 1,330 yards (16.0 avg) with 9 TD grabs.  Givens played in 36 games (25 starts) in his four years at Wake Forest and he finished up with 163 catches for 2,473 yards (15.2 avg) with 21 TD grabs.  Don&#8217;t be suprised if Givens develops quickly and becomes one of Sam Bradford&#8217;s favorite WRs starting in 2012.  This was an outstanding pick for the Rams.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The St. Louis Rams selected CB Trumaine Johnson out of Montana with the 65th overall pick (3rd round) of the 2012 NFL Draft.  Johnson is 6&#8217;2&#8243;, 205 pounds and he runs a 4.45 40&#8230;..so he certainly looks the part.  Johnson has a big time upside, but the Rams will need to keep him focused and motivated because he coasted at times in his career at Montana due to having such low level competition.  Johnson played in 14 games (13 starts) for Montana last year and he had 54 tackles, 12 passes broken up, 2 interceptions and he forced 1 fumble.  He played in 47 games (35 starts) in his four years at Montana and he had 173 tackles, 35 passes broken up, 15 interceptions and 1 forced fumble.  This was a limited risk/high reward pick for the Rams.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The St. Louis Rams selected RB Isaiah Pead out of Cincinnati with the #50 overall pick (2nd round) in the 2012 NFL Draft.  Pead is a nice complement to the power running of Stephen Jackson.  Pead is 5&#8217;9&#8243;, 193 pounds and he runs a 4.45 40.  Pead played in 13 games (all starts) for Cincinnati last year and he carried the ball 237 times for 1,259 yards (5.3 ypc) with 12 TD runs.  He also caught 39 passes for 319 yards (8.2 avg) with 3 TD grabs.  Pead played in 44 games (26 starts) in his four years in college and he carried the ball 545 times for 3,288 yards (6.0 ypc) with 27 TD runs.  He also caught 87 passes for 721 yards (8.3 avg) with 6 TD grabs in school.  I like this pick for the Rams as they could have a lot of thunder (Stephen Jackson) and a little bit of lightning (Isaiah Pead) in the running game in 2012 and beyond.</p>
