The Rams will be without CB Tye Hill for at least a month due to torn cartilage in his right knee.  Hill has made 20 tackles this season so he will be missed.  This hurts the Rams’ defense big time as they don’t have much depth at the position.

The St. Louis Rams lose Randy McMichael

The Rams have lost starting TE Randy McMichael for the season due to a broken tibia.  He was having a decent season for the Rams this year catching 11 passes for 139 yards (12.6 avg).  McMichael will be replaced in the starting lineup by Joe Klopfenstein who is nowhere near the receiver that McMichael is.  He has caught 1 pass for 8 yards this season.  McMichael’s injury will definately hurt the Rams’ passing offense.

The St. Louis Rams will be without DE Leonard Little for the next couple of weeks

The Rams will be without starting DE Leonard Little for the next two weeks due to a strained hamstring.  Little didn’t make any tackles in the season opener against the Eagles but he will be missed as he is the best pass rusher on the team right now.  Little has 75 sacks in his 10-year NFL career.  James Hall will replace Little in the starting lineup and he played well in the opener with 10 tackles.  But, Hall is not in the same league as Little in rushing the passer.

Drew Bennett is out for the next 4-6 weeks for the St. Louis Rams

Drew Bennett will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a fractured left foot.  He was injured in the game against the Eagles last week in a game where he only caught 1 pass for 4 yards.  Dane Looker and Keenan Burton will probably replace Bennett this week for the Rams.  Looker is the veteran of this pair and he caught 1 pass for 21 yards in the season opener while Burton didn’t catch a pass yet this season.  This injury will hurt the Rams’ offense as Torry Holt can be expected to be double teamed for quite a while now.

The St. Louis Rams lose two backup offensive linemen for the season

Reserve offensive linemen Mark Setterstrom (fractured patella) and Brando Gorin (torn labrum) have both been placed on the Injured Reserve List ending their seasons.  Here we go again with the offensive line of the Rams.  They can’t afford any more injuries on the offensive line or Marc Bulger’s going to get beat up again.
