The Rams played great defense and good enough on offense to secure a needed road win.  Sam Bradford was so-so in this game as he completed 18 of 29 passes for 187 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  Steven Jackson was a horse yesterday as he carried the ball 28 times for 102 yards (3.6 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 1 pass for 13 yards.  Brandon Gibson led the way for the Rams in the air with 6 grabs for 54 yards (9.0 avg) in this game.  The Rams finished up with 119 yards rushing on 36 carries (3.3 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 29 passes for 169 yards as they had possession of the ball for 33:46.

Safety Craig Dahl (7 tackles, 1 sack, 3 tackles for a loss, 1 pass defensed, 1 QB hit and a interception) and safety O.J. Atogwe (6 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Rams’ D in this game.  CB Bradley Fletcher pitched in with 2 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 interception also had a solid game for the Rams.  The Cardinals finished up with 105 yards rushing on 19 carries (5.5 ypc) and they also completed 11 of 29 passes for 119 yards in this game.  The Rams are tied at 6-6 with the Seahawks atop of the NFC West.

St. Louis Rams 36, Denver Broncos 33

The Rams played outstanding offensively in this game and that’s the reason for the first round win of the season.  Sam Bradford was outstanding as he completed 22 of 37 passes for 308 yards with 3 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Steven Jackson pitched in with 72 yards rushing on 29 carries (2.5 ypc) in this game.  Kenneth Darby had 2 carries for 4 yards (2.0 ypc) with a TD run.  WRs Danario Alexander (4 rec, 95 yards), Laurent Robinson (4 rec, 58 yards) and WR Danny Amendola (4 receptions for 41 yards and 3 carries for 48 yards) were all effective for the Rams in this game.  TEs Michael Hoomanawanui (1 rec, 36 yards, TD) and Billy Bajema (3 rec, 32 yards, 2 TDs) made some huge catches for the Rams in this game.  The Rams finished up with 123 yards rushing on 35 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 37 passes for 308 yards as they had possession of the ball for 34:17.

Safeties Craig Dahl (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and O.J. Atogwe (6 tackles, 1 pass defensed and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Rams’ D in this game.  Rookie safety Jerome Murphy and linebacker Na’il Diggs both recovered fumbles for the Rams yesterday.  The Broncos finished up with 119 yards rushing on 18 carries (6.6 ypc) and they also completed 24 of 41 passes for 330 yards.  The Rams are now 5-6 on the season and they have tied the Seahawks for first place in the NFC West.

Atlanta Falcons 34, St. Louis Rams 17

The Rams had a 17-16 lead with 11:56 left in the 3rd quarter last Sunday before the roof caved in.  Sam Bradford had another solid game as he completed 27 of 42 passes for 233 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 INT.  Bradford also carried the ball 1 time for 17 yards in this game.  Steven Jackson carried the ball 11 times for 54 yards (4.9 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 7 yards (2.3 avg) last week.  Danny Amendola (8 rec, 63 yards), Brandon Gibson (5 rec, 42 yards, TD), Mike Hoomanawanui (4 rec, 46 yards, TD) and Laurent Robinson (5 rec, 55 yards) all pitched in for the Rams in the passing game against the Falcons.  The Rams finished up with 71 yards rushing on 12 carries (5.9 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 42 passes for 233 yards in this game.

LB James Laurinaitis led the way for the Rams in this game with 11 tackles.  The Rams got pushed around in this game though as the Falcons rushed for 138 yards on 31 carries (4.5 ypc) and they also completed 26 of 39 passes for 253 yards.  The Rams are now 4-6 on the season.

San Francisco 49ers 23, St. Louis Rams 20 in OT

Sam Bradford led the Rams on a 11-play, 70 yard drive in the final 2:10 seconds of this game to set up Josh Brown for a 23-yard field goal which he made to send this game into O.T.  But, the Niners won this game in O.T. mostly due to a pass interference call on safety O.J. Atogwe which pretty much set up Joe Nedney for a 29-yard game winning FG. 

Sam Bradford stepped up in this game as he completed 30 of 42 passes for 251 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 2 times for 11 yards (5.5 ypc) in this game.  Steven Jackson was a busy boy yesterday with 20 carries for 81 yards (4.1 ypc) with 1 TD run and he also caught 8 passes for 67 yards (8.4 avg) in this game.  WRs Brandon Gibson (8 rec, 72 yards) and Danny Amendola (7 rec, 51 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Rams yesterday.  The Rams finished up with 104 yards on 24 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 30 of 42 passes for 228 yards.

Safety Craig Dahl (13 tackles, 2 passes defensed) and LB James Laurinaitis (5 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 QB hit) led the way for the Rams’ D in this game.  The 49ers finished up with 98 yards rushing on 26 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 28 passes for 323 yards.  The Rams are now 4-5 on the year.

The Rams were never losing in this football game as they took charge in the second quarter and never looked back.  Sam Bradford was very sharp in this game as he completed 25 of 32 passes for 191 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Steven Jackson had a rough game as he carried the ball 23 times for 59 yards (2.6 ypc) and he caught 1 pass for 4 yards.  Danny Amendola (6 rec, 28 yards, TD), Daniel Fells (4 rec, 35 yards, TD), Brandon Gibson (6 rec, 67 yards) and Laurent Robinson (5 rec, 33 yards) led the way for the Rams in the passing game yesterday.  The Rams finished up with 62 yards rushing on 29 carries (2.1 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 32 passes for 184 yards as they had possession of the ball for 36:28 yesterday.

Safety Criag Dahl (10 tackles) and LB James Laurinaitis (8 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss, 1 sack, 1 pass defensed, 1 QB hit and 1 interception) led the way for the Rams’ D yesterday.  Safety O.J. Atogwe (interception), safety Jerrry Butler (interception) and DE Chris Long (fumble recovery and a sack) also made huge plays for the Rams in this game.  The Panthers finished up with 25 yards rushing on 17 carries (1.5 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 37 passes for 176 yards in this game.  The Rams are now an amazing 4-4 on the year.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 18, St. Louis Rams 17

The Rams looked like they had this game as they were up 17-6 at the half.  But the Buccaneers drove down at the end of the game and Josh Freeman hit Cadillac Williams with a 1-yard TD pass with 10 seconds left to beat the Rams.  Sam Bradford was solid in a game manager role as he completed 13 of 26 passes for 126 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 INTs.  Steven Jackson was a workhorse for the Rams today as he carried the ball 22 times for 110 yards (5.5 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for another 35 yards (17.5 avg).  Kenneth Darby pitched in with 19 yards rushing on 4 carries (4.8 ypc) and he also caught 1 pass for 19 yards today.  Danny Amendola (3 receptions for 21 yards with a TD grab and 1 carry for 21 yards) and rookie TE Michael Hoomanawanui (2 rec, 12 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Rams today.  The Rams finished up with 161 yards rushing on 32 carries (5.0 ypc) and they also completed 13 of 26 passes for 124 yards.

The defense was pretty solid until the last drive for the Rams.  LBs James Laurinaitis (8 tackles, 1 pass defensed) and Bryan Kehl (7 tackles) led the way for the Rams on D in this game.  The Bucs finished up with 124 yards rushing on 21 carries (5.9 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 40 passes for 189 yards in this game.  The Rams are now 3-4 after this disappointing loss.

St. Louis Rams 20, San Diego Chargers 17

The Rams took out the Chargers today at home where the Rams have played pretty solid football.  Sam Bradford was solid once again in this game as he completed 18 of 31 passes for 198 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  Steven Jackson had a heavy workload today as he carried the ball 29 times for 109 yards (3.8 ypc) with 1 TD run.  WR Danario Alexander came off the practice squad to lead the way in the passing game for the Rams with 4 grabs for 72 yards (18.0 avg) with a 38-yard TD reception in his NFL debut.  TE Billy Bajema pitched in with 3 receptions for 34 yards (11.3 avg) today.  The Rams finished up with 117 yards rushing on 35 carries (3.3 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 31 passes for 183 yards.

The Rams’ D was very aggressive in this game as they had 7 sacks today!  CB Brady Fletcher (8 tackles), safety O.J. Atogwe (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 INT) and LB Larry Grant (5 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks and 2 QB hits) led the way for the Rams’ D in this game.  DEs James Hall and Chris Long each had 2 sacks apiece for the Rams today.  The Chargers finished up with 79 yards rushing on 17 carries (4.6 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 37 passes for 208 yards.  The Rams are now 3-3 on the season.

Detroit Lions 44, St. Louis Rams 6

The Rams completely sucked today in Detroit as they didn’t show up mentally or physically.  Sam Bradford played by far his worst game so far this year as he completed 23 of 45 passes for 215 yards with 0 TD passes and 2 INTs (one of which was returned 42 yards for a TD by Lions’ CB Alphonso Smith).  Steven Jackson got his work in today with 25 carries for 114 yards (4.6 ypc) against the Lions.  Danny Amendola led the way in the passing game for the Rams today with 12 grabs for 95 yards (7.9 avg) but he lost a fumble.  The Rams finished up with 128 yards rushing on 28 carries (4.7 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 45 passes for 213 yards. 

LB James Laurinaitis (7 tackles) and safety O.J. Atogwe (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Rams’ D today.  The Lions finished up with 89 yards rushing on 26 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 34 passes for 233 yards today.  The Rams also had a big blip on special teams as Stefan Logan of the Lions returned a kickoff 105 yards for a TD in this game.  The Rams are now 2-3 on the year.

St. Louis Rams 20, Seattle Seahawks 3

The Rams totally shut down the Seahawks yesterday as they outplayed them in every facet of the game.  Sam Bradford was solid once again as he completed 23 of 41 passes for 289 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 INT.  Even a groin injury couldn’t stop Steven Jackson yesterday as he carried the ball 22 times for 70 yards (3.2 ypc) and he also caught 3 passes for 54 yards (18.0 avg).  Mark Clayton (5 rec, 72 yards), Brandon Gibson (3 rec, 50 yards, TD) and RB Kenneth Darby (2 rec, 19 yards, TD) led the way for the Rams in the passing game yesterday.  The Rams finished up with 88 yards rushing on 28 carries (3.1 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 41 passes for 261 yards.

The defense was outstanding yesterday for the Rams.  Safety Craig Dahl (6 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and CB Justin King (6 tackles) led the way for the Rams’ D yesterday.  DE James Hall was also very busy for the Rams with 4 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 2 sacks and 2 QB hits yesterday.  DT Fred Robbins (fumble recovery) and CB Bradley Fletcher (interception) also made big plays for the Rams’ D in this game.  The Seahawks finished up with 64 yards rushing on 24 carries (2.7 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 37 passes for 193 yards in this game.  The Rams are now a surprising 2-2 on the year.

St. Louis Rams 30, Washington Redskins 16

The Rams had possession of the football for 34:50 yesterday which really aided them in pulling the big upset at home over the Redskins.  Sam Bradford was solid for the Rams yesterday as he completed 23 of 37 passes for 235 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 INT.  Stephen Jackson led the way on the ground for the Rams in this game with 10 carries for 58 yards (5.8 ypc) with a TD run before leaving the game with a groin injury.  Kenneth Darby replaced him and he was solid in carrying the ball 14 times for 49 yards (3.5 ypc) with a TD run.  Mark Clayton (5 rec, 85 yards), Danny Amendola (6 rec, 56 yards) and TE Daniel Fells (3 rec, 22 yards, TD) led the way for the Rams in the passing game.  The Rams finished up with 133 yards rushing on 37 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 37 passes for 232 yards.

LBs James Laurinaitis (7 tackles, 4 tackles for a loss and 1 pass defensed) and Bryan Kehl (5 tackles, 1 QB hit) led the way for the Rams on D in this game.  Safety James Butler pitched in with 4 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss and 1 fumble recovery helped out the Rams’ cause yesterday.  CB Bradley Fletcher pitched in with a interception in this game.  The Redskins finished up with 116 yards rushing on 17 carries (6.8 ypc) and they also completed 19 of 32 passes for 233 yards.  The Rams are now 1-2 on the year.
