The St. Louis Rams were awful defending the run last season and they hope that James Laurinaitis will help them improve in that area.  Laurinaitis is the classic middle linebacker as he flows to the ball and is a solid tackler.  He is 6′2″, 255 pounds and he runs a 4.65 40.  Laurinaitis played in 51 games (39 starts) in 4 seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes and he made 375 tackles, had 24.5 tackles for a loss, had 13 sacks, broke up 7 passes and he intercepted 9 passes.  He was a playmaker in college and the Rams hope that will convert to the pros.
