New York Giants 41, St. Louis Rams 13
The Rams looked just as pathetic this week as they looked last week against the Eagles. Marc Bulger looked gunshy in the pocket again and he completed 20 of 32 passes for 177 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception (it was returned 41-yard for a TD by DE Justin Tuck of the Giants). Steven Jackson carried the football 13 times for 53 yards (4.1 ypc) and he also caught 7 passes for 37 yards (5.3 avg). WR Torry Holt led the Rams with 6 catches for 76 yards (12.7 avg) with a 45-yard TD reception. The Rams finished up with 68 yards rushing on 16 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 32 passes for 133 yards.
The Rams’ Defense was just as inept as the offense was against the Giants. Linebacker Will Witherspoon (7 tackles) and DE Chris Long (4 tackles, sack) led the way on defense in this game. The Giants finished up with 200 yards rushing on 31 carries (6.5 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 29 passes for 241 yards. The Rams are now 0-2 on the season and the countdown is now officially on as to when head coach Scott Linehan will be fired.
