4. (128) Keenan Burton, WR

Keenan Burton should be better than he is and it will be interesting to see if the Rams can get the best out of him.  Burton is 6′0″, 202 pounds but he doesn’t play up to his timed 4.47 40.  His best games were against lesser competition and he’s very injury prone.  Burton played in 46 games (33 starts) at Kentucky and he caught 189 passes for 2,376 yards (12.6 avg) with 25 TD grabs.  Look for Burton to be the #4 or #5 WR for the Rams this season but he could start in the future if he progresses.

4. (101) Justin King, CB

Justin King is very good against the pass because of his combination of speed and good hands.  He is a little on the small side at 5′11″, 185 pounds but he fast as lightning running a 4.35 40.  King has trouble with bigger receivers and he is soft against the run.  He played in 38 games (29 starts) at Penn State and he finished with 90 tackles, he broke up 26 passes, had 3 interceptions and recovered a fumble.  This was a solid pick for the Rams as King will likely help out in nickel defenses as a rookie and help out on special teams.  If he gets a little bit tougher against the run he could be a starter down the road for the Rams.

3. (65) John Greco, OG/T

With all of the injuries the Rams suffered along the offensive line last season they decided to put a priority on it this off season.  John Greco is a tough guy who is a excellent run blocker.  He doesn’t have the speed to handle playing tackle but he should fit in well at guard in the NFL.  Greco is 6′4″, 302 pounds and he’s a hard nosed player.  Greco played in 49 games (all starts) in his career at Toledo.  Look for Greco to be the top guard off the bench for the Rams this season and to work his way into the starting lineup in the near future.

The St. Louis Rams claim QB Bruce Gradkowski off waivers from the Bucs

The Rams have claimed QB Bruce Gradkowski off waivers from the Tampa Bay Bucs.  Gradkowski played in 4 games (0 starts) for the Bucs last season and he completed 13 of 24 passes (54.2%) for 130 yards with 0 TDs and 1 INT.  He also carried the football 7 times for 20 yards (2.9 ypc).  Gradkowski has now played in 17 games (0 starts) in his NFL career and he has completed 190 of 352 passes (54%) for 1,791 yards with 9 TD passes and 10 interceptions (65.0 QB Rating).  He also has carried the ball 48 times for 181 yards (3.8 ypc).  Gradkowski should be able to beat out Brock Berlin for the #3 QB job behind Marc Bulger and Trent Green.
