Carolina Panthers 27, St. Louis Rams 13

The Rams got pushed around by the Panthers on Sunday afternoon.  The Rams only had possession of the football for 25:53 of the game because of poor defense and Steven Jackson’s fumbling. Marc Bulger completed 22 of 42 passes for 167 yards with 1 TD pass.  He also carried the football 3 times for 18 yards (6.0 ypc).  Steven Jackson had a rough time as he carried the ball 18 times for 58 yards (3.2 ypc) and he only caught 1 pass for 3 yards.  Jackson also lost 2 fumbles which hurt the Rams big time.  WR Torry Holt had a nice game with 8 catches for 73 yards (9.1 avg) with 1 TD grab.  The Rams finished up with 76 yards rushing on 21 carries (3.6 ypc) and they completed 22 of 42 passes for 162 yards.

The Rams didn’t play much defense against the Panthers on Sunday.  FS Oshiomogho Atogwe led the Rams with 10 tackles and LB Brandon Chillar had 9 tackles to lead the way for the Rams.  The Panthers finished up with 186 yards rushing on 38 carries (4.9 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 27 passes for 201 yards.
