Steven Jackson was the best running back in the NFL this season, bar none!  Jackson played in all 16 games and carried the ball 346 times for 1,528 yards (4.4 ypc) with 13 TD runs.  He also caught 90 passes for 806 yards (9.0 avg) with 3 TD catches.  For his career, Jackson has played in 45 games (34 starts) and he’s carried the ball 734 times for 3,247 yards (4.4 ypc) with 25 TD runs.  He has also caught 152 passes for 1,315 yards (8.7 avg) with 5 TD catches.

Stephen Davis did a good job when Jackson needed a sip of water.  Davis carried the ball 40 times for 177 yards (4.4 ypc).  He also caught 12 passes for 90 yards (7.5 avg) with 1 TD catch.  For his career, Davis has played in 143 games (102 starts) and he’s carried the ball 1,945 times for 8,052 yards (4.1 ypc) with 65 TD runs.  He has also caught 179 passes for 1,494 yards (8.3 avg) with 4 TD catches.

Tony Fisher didn’t do a whole lot this season.  He played in 8 games and carried the ball 6 times for 9 yards (1.5 ypc).  He also caught 14 passes for 159 yards (11.4 avg).  For his career, Fisher has played in 68 games (5 starts) and he has carried the ball 241 times for 889 yards (3.7 ypc) with 4 TD runs.  He also has caught 139 passes for 1,059 yards (7.6 avg) with 5 TD catches.

Kay Kay Harris didn’t do too much in his rookie year.  He played in 7 games and carried the ball 3 times for 9 yards (3.0 ypc).  He also caught 1 pass for 10 yards.

Fullback Madison Hedgecock did a good job blocking for Jackson.  He played in all 16 games and he carried the ball 1 time for 2 yards.  He also caught 7 passes for 29 yards (4.1 avg).  For his career, Hedgecock has played in 32 games (16 starts) and he has only carried the ball 2 times for 2 yards.  He also has caught 16 passes for 98 yards (6.1 avg).

Scott Linehan does good job in first season

Scott Linehan changed a few things in the Rams offense.  Instead of spreading the field and the ball around, Linehan simply wanted to get the ball to his best playmakers.  In getting the football in Steven Jackson, Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce’s hands the Rams maximized their offensive output.  The next thing for Linehan to do will be to rebuild the defense and I think he’ll do that in the draft and free agency.  Linehan finished 8-8 (50%) as a rookie head coach, but the future is bright because of him.
