St. Louis Rams vs. Minnesota Vikings

The Rams have won their last two games and have a slim shot at the playoffs with a win and some help.  The Vikings have lost two in a row and looked pathetic in doing it.

Look for the Rams to attempt to run the ball a little bit with Steven Jackson (1,386 yards rushing) to keep the Vikings great run defense (54.5 yards per game, 2.6 ypc) honest.  Make no mistake, the Rams are going to fill the sky with passes on Sunday.  The Vikings have alot of interceptions (21) but they also give up a ton of passing yards (238.0 net yards per game).  Marc Bulger (4,053 yards passing) will definately be chucking the ball to Torry Holt (84 rec, 1,098 yards), Isaac Bruce (70 rec, 1,032 yards) and Steven Jackson (88 rec, 782 yards).

The Vikings will try to keep the ball on the ground with Chester Taylor (1,185 yards rushing) against the Rams soft run defense that is allowing 149.7 yards rushing per game and 4.9 yards per carry.  The Vikings must have an effective running game or rookie QB Tavaris Jackson will be under a ton of heat and that could lead to big mistakes.

The Rams will win this football game because they will get a lead by passing the ball and force the Vikings to try to engage in a shootout.  In that case, the Vikings will be coming to a gun fight with a butter knife.
