St. Louis Rams vs. Washington Redskins
The Redskins should be happy to see a team with the same weaknesses as the Saints on the other side of the football field. The Rams allow a whopping 147.8 yards rushing per game and 5.0 yards per carry so far this season. LeDell Betts (933 yards rushing, 4.8 ypc) should have a monster game against the Rams and keep their offense on the sideline. Look for Jason Campbell to take a few deep shots to Santana Moss during this game.Â
The Rams will want to come out passing against the Redskins. The Redskins allow 215.4 net yards passing and have allowed 25 TD passes while only intercepting 6 passes so far this season. The Rams have allowed 48 sacks of Marc Bulger, but if they give him time to throw he should have big-time success. Torry Holt (80 rec, 1,044 yards, 10 TDs) and Isaac Bruce (61 rec, 884 yards) will be his targets down the field. Steven Jackson will be a weapon both running the ball (1,236 yards rushing) and catching the ball (82 rec, 680 yards).
This game is a toss-up. If the Redskins play like they did last week, they will win this game. The Rams could decide to show some pride in a down year. The winner will probably be the team that turns the ball over less.
