This years Rams don’t look much like the Greatest Show on Turf, but, they look like a good football team.  The Rams offense is much more balanced this season, and they will look to run the ball against the 49ers.  Big Steven Jackson will pose all kinds of problems for the 49ers defense.  If the 49ers start to peek in the backfield, Bulger will start winging passes over their heads.  The 49ers scondary will have serious problems with Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce.

The Niners will try to run the ball on the Rams and play keep away to protect their porous defense.  Frank Gore will probably have a good game vs. the Rams linebackers.  The Rams did give up 161 yards rushing last week against the Broncos.  QB Alex Smith played a great game last week, but he’ll have to be careful against a ball-hawking secondary that picked-off three passing against the Broncos last week.

The 49ers are improving, but the Rams still have better players and it will show on the scoreboard.
